Our herbs are interplanted with lettuce and other salad plants in the hydroponics.  Under the growing table many herbs are grown in compost and thrive in these sheltered conditions. Some herbs we source from two other local growers to ensure a full range of herbs is available throughout the year. .

Watercress bunches are a speciality at Darling Mills Farm. We grow the watercress in a two stage process. Firstly, in nursery channels to establish basal roots then in fast growing open channels  which allows the adventitious roots or stem roots to come into play. The result is larger healthier leaves.

Water spinach is grown in the same way as watercress, though only in the warmer months.
